Kinder for your dog(s) and the planet?

Worldwide, dogs help contribute to almost half a billion pounds of waste every single day! But we can help reduce the waste and pollution dog ownership can produce by making eco-friendly pet consumer choices and creating sustainable habits around caring for our dogs!

By making sure you are choosing pet supplies and supporting pet brands that put your dog’s health first you are ensuring that your dogs do not breathe in harmful fumes, chew on toxic plastic toys, or eat from chemically-lined packaging! Did you know that many of the dog toys and products sold in supermarkets, bargain stores and pet shops are not planet friendly? Many are also not dog safe as they’re not regulated!

Yes, just let that digest… the dog toy industry here in the UK is widely unregulated. Therefore the choices you make for your precious pup really matter!

If you shop with us be rest assured that the products we sell and include in our boxes are high quality, safe for your dog(s) and come from companies who care about the wellbeing of dogs and the planet.

All of the products we sell or choose to include in our boxes are tested and approved by Bear.

“We need to learn how to work with nature, rather than against it.”

Sir David Attenborough

Our ethos goes beyond the products in our boxes!

Our cardboard boxes are made from 80% recycled materials. They’re 100% compostable and recyclable! Our packaging shred is 100% recycled, recyclable, biodegradable and reusable!

We use an eco-friendly label company to produce our biodegradable and compostable stickers and a sustainable and vegan printing company to make our flyers!

The brands we work with are either 100% plastic-free or are actively working towards it. We’re making it our mission to support the brands in moving away from harmful plastic packaging and instead opting for plant-based alternative packaging, which is kinder to the planet and our wildlife!

It really is all about dogs and the planet!

I searched numerous sites for products and brands which matched my values. I tried and failed to find a one-stop shop where I could buy everything I wanted and needed for Bear. I’d also seen an array of dog boxes across social media, none of which offered the combination of plant-based treats, eco-friendly toys and cruelty-free products.

I immediately realised that this was a gap I needed to fill. I began searching for small businesses and brands which either aligned with my values completely or offered products which suited the requirements. Then, after engaging with a number of them I decided I was happy and confident that I could bring my dream to life.

Bearkind was created. It took months of preparation and I couldn’t wait to share it with you… and now here we are!
